The Day The Market Halted

The day the market halted because our stock market plunged more than 10%, I was still searching for items to buy...talk about being a true blue shopaholic!!! I was shopping for stocks in the morning and when it was suspended for an hour, I turned to my beloved craft, scrapbooking! Ooh..is there anything new? Kath will know what I am talking about!!! See, as a woman, we ought to know when there are bargain buys or simply when there is anything new!!!

So anyways, just an update on our Jenni Bowlin stock, we are clearing customs today...lets hope the customs sort it out today...which means, we should see this by the end of this week...oooh I cant wait!

Featuring March Special Guest DT - Iris Babao Uy

We are so thrilled and proud to feature Iris Babao Uy, Winner of the Memory Makers Masters 2008 Challenge and current DT for October Afternoon, Prima and Badgirlskits.

Here is what Iris says:

"I am a scrapper from The Philippines, a wife to a wonderful and supportive husband named Bryan, and a mother to a beautiful and sweet three year old girl named Nicole Breanna. I got hooked to scrapbooking after trying to organize my baby’s photos but have been left unsatisfied with ordinary photo albums. I like to give my pages dimension with lots of detail. I rarely plan my pages – I let a photo or a patterned paper inspire me and I take it from there.
Aside from being an avid scrapbooker who dreams and obsesses about patterned papers and page ideas all day, I am also a pianist and a partner in an events management company. I’m also a very active person who frequents the gym, and joins 5k and 10k marathon runs.
I am fortunate to be designing for October Afternoon, Prima Marketing and Badgirlskits. I have also been named as one of the 2008 Memory Makers Magazine Masters."

Iris has gladly shared with us a few of her many amazing creations on the Scrap-n-Crop gallery. We are so inspired by her as she only illustrates to us how scrapbooking has no boundaries! I am sure you will agree with us when you see her lovely work! Thank you Iris!
